Survive and Advance - Play Off Mode

We have been handed and opportunity of a life time!!! We are in play off mode... It is in fact "march madness baby" - dick vitale voice. Survive and advance, lose we go home packing! This season has been a blessing in disguise and tonight you will realize that. We yet have another chance to reach maximum potential!!! Play your hearts out for 40 minutes, lets leave everything we have out on that court. We know everything we need to know and MORE to win this game tonight. Sprint your ass back on defense to the point where you need to be taken out, step in and take the god damn charge for your teammates, body up and jump like you never have before to grab the rebounds down, play like a team!! Play possession by possession through our mistakes. Mentally prepare yourself to be tough. They want it just as bad, they work just as hard as you too... They deserve to win as well... But what will separate you from the rest is playing like a team! Be relentless for 40 minutes and lets go get a win! I'm feeling an upset, we are the "dark horse" of the post season, I have some serious #underdAWG pride right now. YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE! Stick to the game plan and #leggo!! - Management.

Types of Players

Spartan Nation

4 Types of Players:

1.     Unconscious & Incompetent -  These types of players “don’t know that they don’t know”. These players aren’t going to contribute on a winning team.

2.     Conscious & Incompetent – These players now realize that “they know they aren’t getting it, they know they are not doing it”. These players know they aren’t doing what’s being asked of them, they know they are not contributing to a winning team.

3.     Conscious & Competent – At this level of development, the player is able to perform various skills (competent), but SHE must think about everything that she is doing before performing the skill; i.e. catch the ball, go into triple threat, direct drive. YOU KNOW, BUT YOU DON’T FLOW. VERY ROBOTIC.

4.     Unconscious & Competent – The most difficult level to reach, this player can perform the skills without having to think about them. For this type of player, the game naturally “flows”.

BLAME NOBODY. EXPECT NOTHING. DO SOMETHING.
