Monday Night the 11U squeaked by the EDGE, out of River Edge NJ with a score of 18-14 advancing their record to 5-1. The defense was tight from both teams making it a low scoring game, Dana Shulman had a game high of 6 points, Carly Comito and Ali Funtsch backed Dana up with their 8 points combined.
The 11U team is a very young squad with a lot of potentially, they are ultimately forming into the GAMETIME system with the pressure defense converting into their transition offense. Morgan Bade plays a huge role as a starter and pressuring the offense into committing a turnover.
8 out of the 13 gametime cougar 11U players are returning players who have been playing with us all season long. This year we are entering the team into two NJ AAU Tournaments, they will head to the PALADINS SHOOT OUT the first week in JUNE, then they wrap up their season @ the Vivian Stringer AAU Tournament down @ Rutgers University June 20th - 21st.
